Our family has owned a few different dogs over the year. These dogs have been very precious to us, so I created several DIY dog projects; Dog Cooling Mat, No-Sew Dog Bed, a Glow-in-the-Dark Leash, and a Dog & Human Snuggie Blanket.
Most recently, I created this cute personalized dog bandana. It was easy to make, so I created a pattern and tutorial for you to use.
This double-sided bandana has embroidery on each side for a personal touch. The bandana slips on over the dog’s collar.
Please note: The actual doggie bandana pattern download is in the tutorial at the bottom of this post. The image below this is NOT the printable bandana dog pattern. It is just a template to show you what size to cut.
The only thing that you might need to purchase for this DIY dog bandana is fabric if you do not have any prints you want to use on hand.
One fat quarter works for the small bandana if you want the same print for both sides. Otherwise, you need two fat quarters or small pieces of fabric. Cotton fabric, such as quilter’s cotton, is best for this project.
I picked two prints from my stash and made a medium-sized dog collar bandana. One of these was a cute mini dog print.
Personalize the bandana with embroidering with an embroidery machine or cut iron vinyl with a Cricut.
Embroidery or applique is added before the bandana is stitched. Vinyl can be added after. A free Mom Heart SVG file download is at the bottom of the post.
I love how Cooper’s new personalized dog bandana turned out.
